I used tell my daughter, “bedtime is the best time of the day”.

Its’s the time to relax and rest. It was a way of me encouraging her to go to bed. In the summer months she would reply by saying “it’s not dark outisde”. I would remind her of nap times in the day when she was alot younger. It wasn’t dark then.

We would talk about her day at school, I would read one bedtime story after another. She would never fall asleep, that’s a myth, it did not happen with my daughter. Constantly telling her, “bedtime is the best time of the day”.

It worked, to the point that now she will not have a TV in her bedroom.

In order to grow we need to rest.
